Bryson DeChambeau secured a fourth LIV Golf League title and first 72-hole win since his 2024 US Open win after a dramatic play-off victory at the Aramco LIV Golf Singapore.

DeChambeau started a weather-affected final round one shot behind Joaquin Niemann and Lee Westwood at Sentosa Golf Club, where he posted a five-under 66 to finish on 14 under alongside wildcard Richard T Lee.

The players returned to the par-five 18th for the play-off, where Lee made a three-putt bogey from 10 feet to hand DeChambeau - who recovered from finding water off the tee to scramble par - victory.

"Incredible relief," DeChambeau. "I haven't won in four rounds since the US Open 2024. Being able to come through on a golf course like this that's super brutal and demands precision on every single shot, especially with the conditions changing, I couldn't be more happy for my team."

Westwood claimed third spot ahead of Niemann, with last week's winner Jon Rahm rounding off the top five, while Dustin Johnson's 4Aces GC claimed a five-shot victory in the team competition.

DeChambeau opened with three consecutive pars and found himself three behind when Niemann started with successive birdies, only to bounce back with a hole-out eagle from the greenside bunker at the par-five fourth.

The two-time US Open champion responded to a bogey at the fifth by making back-to-back birdies from the eighth, getting him back within two of Niemann when play was halted for nearly two hours due to storms.

Niemann slipped out of contention after the delay, carding three bogeys without picking up any shots, as DeChambeau posted two birdies in a bogey-free back nine to grab a share of the lead.

Lee set the initial target after closing his round with a birdie at the par-five last, matched by DeChambeau, to force a play-off where the momentum wildly swung between both players.

DeChambeau pulled his shot into the water and then got up and down for a clutch par, as Lee missed a 10-foot birdie chance for outright victory and then a putt from barely two feet to extend the contest.

"Absolutely hated it for Richard [Lee]," DeChambeau added. "He's been playing some unbelievable golf. He's beat me in a few of the rounds I've played with him, and he's a stellar player.

"I wanted to go another hole with him. As much as winning is great, I have a lot of respect for Richard and the way he golfs his ball out there."

Lee explained: "It was a short putt and I wanted to just hit it hard, and I hit it a little too hard. I think the adrenaline was pumping a little bit."

The Singapore event was the second of three consecutive LIV Golf League events in a three-week period, with next week's event taking place The Club at Steyn City, South Africa from March 19-22.
